3 Murderer (3:56)
4 Champion (4:00)
5 Untold Stories (4:34)
6 Not An Easy Road (4:01)

10 How Could You (3:55)
11 Wanna be Loved (4:04)
12 It's All Over (4:04)
13 Hush Baby Hush (4:20)
14 What Ya Gonna Do? (3:43)
15 Rampage (3:44)
16 Champion (Remix) (4:31)

Buju Banton, dancehall toaster, reggae musician, and all around rude bwoy, comes straight out of Kingston, Jamaica. This album marked a turning point in Banton's career, shifting from dancehall vibes to a live band with a much more roots reggae feel where he reached a more mainstream audience. Still though, he drops heavy hitting vocals with one of the most distinct voices in the industry.

Dub is a Weapon - Dub is a Weapon (2003)

Dub is a Weapon is a New York based dub band that quickly created ties with dub man, myth, and legend Lee 'Scratch' Perry. The band was founded by Dave Hahn, most well known for playing guitar in the Antibalas. It is pretty hard for me to gather any information on this album, but I recall it being produced by Perry himself, but don't quote me on that. They've also been touring extensively with him, showing the world that white kids from NYC can play dub too.

Black Uhuru - Brutal (1986)

1 Let Us Dub (4:25)
2 Dub In The Mountain (4:10)
3 Brutalize Me With Dub (4:15)
4 City Dub (3:58)
5 Dub You Haffe Dub (4:44)
6 Robbery Dub (6:25)
7 Uptown Dub (3:37)
8 Vision Of Dub (4:19)
9 Dub It With You (3:37)
10 Conviction Or A Dub (4:35)

There's something special about this album that I can't quite put my finger on. This is not your standard, garden-variety dub record; this is unusually upbeat with haunting vocals and lots of not-so-dub percussion.

Dubstep: The secret's out

Fuckin' a. Dubstep just went mainstream in America. This is the defining point in the genre where everything goes to shit. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted

Who knew Pharell could produce wobble & womp like that?

This is the debut album from the Arctic Monkeys, an indie rock band from the UK. I guess they're post-punk revival if you want to be a dick about it. I have a feeling their studio is filled with Stratocasters, cigarette butts, and whiskey bottles. Good stuff

Hey guys! Did you hear? Its motherfuckin

Soundboards were available for a while on LivePhish.com for no charge, but in case you missed the window of opportunity to grab those for free... you're welcome.

The Mayor And The Crook (4:09)

This is Aesop Rock's first major LP. Aes Rock's shit it filled with ridiculous rhymes and an unimaginable flow. Like most of his early work, this LP has pretty depressing lyrics and a hostile attitude, as if he spent days in his NYC apartment living off cigarettes and basic cable (because he did).

Aesop Rock continues his stream-of-consciousness rapping technique, but this time on the Def Jux label. Other label members, Mr. Lif, El-P, and Camp Lo make appearances. I have heard that this was intended to be a concept album, but the 'out there', fast paced lyrics don't permit me to figure out what exactly the concept is. If you figure it out, my email is that way ----->

Sorry for the lack of updates lately; Midterms, Phish, and PC issues held me up for a bit.
This is CROOKERS on Radio One's Essential Mix. 2 hours of nonstop hip-hop, dubstep, electro-house, and ridiculous fidget house beats. Crookers will be in the States in April playing NYC, Chi, and SF among others.
