This is Aesop Rock's first major LP. Aes Rock's shit it filled with ridiculous rhymes and an unimaginable flow. Like most of his early work, this LP has pretty depressing lyrics and a hostile attitude, as if he spent days in his NYC apartment living off cigarettes and basic cable (because he did).

Aesop Rock continues his stream-of-consciousness rapping technique, but this time on the Def Jux label. Other label members, Mr. Lif, El-P, and Camp Lo make appearances. I have heard that this was intended to be a concept album, but the 'out there', fast paced lyrics don't permit me to figure out what exactly the concept is.
