Zomby - Spliff Dub (and the remixes)

Aight, here's a huge track that I've been obsessed with for quite some time now. Zomby created this with a sample from Billy Boyo's One Spliff a Day, and its insightful "One spliff a day keep the evil away" chant. After Zomby's original, it was remixed by Sukh Knight and Starkey who created their own dubstep versions, and of course Rustie who created a weird tech-dubstep vibe. Big ups to everyone.

Buju Banton, dancehall toaster, reggae musician, and all around rude bwoy, comes straight out of Kingston, Jamaica. This album marked a turning point in Banton's career, shifting from dancehall vibes to a live band with a much more roots reggae feel where he reached a more mainstream audience. Still though, he drops heavy hitting vocals with one of the most distinct voices in the industry.

Eek-A-Mouse - Wa-Do-Dem (1981)

Some straight rasta shit here. Eek-A-Mouse is one of the creators of the Jamaican toasting / sing-jay style. On this album he lays down two huge hits, Ganja Smuggling and Wa-Do-Dem. Oldschool dancehall vibes that won't quit.
